Little Wonders
Eggbug recently had the opportunity to work with design agency Osborne and Pike in animating a series of social media videos for the Dutch brand Olvarit in celebration of their new line of products ‘Little Wonders’.
With a focus on a fun and playful approach we got to work creating something wonderful.
Pre-production
Different projects have different start points and for ‘Little Wonders’ since we already had character designs and style set from the get go, we were free to push the animation.
We jump-started this project with a short animation test to give the client something to look at and iron out any points of improvement before we started animation proper.
Character animation
With character designs already provided, a key consideration was how to make sure each character had a personality that came through in their actions and movement.
The characters would only be on screen for a few seconds at max and so we made sure to push their expressions and posing as to give a strong impression as in a short period of time.
Planning for success
From the start of this project we knew animation would need to be adapted to different aspect ratios for different social media. Planning character animation and creating an organized approach was therefore essential to ensure prompt delivery with time for revisions.
By structuring our animation around this philosophy the final product was both high quality and punctual in delivery.
